| Tesia
Nicoli
After
school plays in elementary and high school, Tesia then moved
on to studying Broadcast Communications in college and pursuing
all the avenues made available to her. This eventually led
her to doing some episodes of Medical Detectives on The Learning
Channel. She then took multiple acting classes and workshops
to learn as much as she could about this profession. While
she was enrolled in some classes, she played an extra in an
indie film, Black Wine and landed some roles on the stage
of The Theatre Outlet in Allentown, PA.
Tesia was soon cast as "Catherine" in the independent
film, Townies. She was ecstatic about finally having a speaking
role in a film when just a few days later she got a call to
play the lead role in the independent film, Edgar Allan Poe's
Berenice. Tesia has since been cast as the lead role of 'Kate'
in a short film called The Apprentice. Tesia finds it very
reassuring and the 'ultimate compliment' that the producers
and directors from Berenice and Townies have asked her to
be a part of their future productions. She has also done several
TV and radio commercials for Berks Technical Institute and
Florida Technical College.
Shortly
after wrapping Berenice, in September 2002, Tesia became the
new co-host of The Stage. Tesia says that the show allows
her to refine her improvisational skills and it gives her
more experience in front of the camera. She looks forward
to shooting The Stage each week and loves every second of
it.
In
Tesia's spare time she enjoys writing. Writing is a mind-bending
pastime for Tesia. She says it's almost as if a story and
its characters start to grow in her brain and she just has
to get them out onto paper. In the past couple years, Tesia
has completed two screenplays and over a dozen plays for the
stage. In fact her one play, Get Gone, was recently featured
with two other playwrights on the stage of the Theatre Outlet.
Tesia
has earned the titles of actor, co-host, and playwright with
a degree of success at each. Tesia says that,"the worst
thing you can do with your life is regret it and the best
thing you can do is live it up while still maintaining realistic
expectations for yourself". And what are Tesia's expectations?
Nothing is certain, but anything is possible, I expect that
more great opportunities are right around the corner.
